Installation


Get latest Windows version :

Download and install program files using the installer: SAXSutilitiesInstall.exe

At the end of the installation process, you will be asked to install the Matlab runtime environment. This has to be done only once!


REMARK: If SAXSutilities does not start after an update, try to manually delete the folder SAXSutilities_mcr in the SAXSutilities installation path and re-run the setup routine.


Get latest Linux version (developed under redhat4 and tested with openSUSE11):

  1. Download: saxsutilities.tar.gz
  2. Unpack the archive in a directory (e.g. gzip -d saxsutilities.tar.gz; tar xvf saxsutilities.tar)
  3. Open the file start_saxsutilities in an editor and set the (absolute) path LD_SAXSUT_PATH to the chosen installation directory.
  4. Start SAXSutilities using ./start_saxsutilities directly from the installation directory.
  5. Note that unspec by P. Mikulík has to be installed.
  6. Note that saxsprograms by P. Bösecke have to be installed.
  7. To use the fitting functions please refer to the instructions in config.zip.

The latest Windows and Linux versions are available from http://www.sztucki.de/SAXSutilities or using the update button in the user interface.
